The Asa Asia Foundation (Yayasan Asa Asia), South East Asia’s leading sports training institution with over 1 million active members, has, for the past 5 years, successfully implemented education programs through sports development activities for under-privileged people living in Indonesia. In collaboration with KONI, UNICEF and international NGOs such as Caritas Germany, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Church World Service (CWS), Helen Keller, Mercy Corps, Muslim Aid, NZAID, PMI, Search for Common Ground (SCG) and World Vision, ASA Asia has developed a series of grass roots sports coaching clinics, tournaments and events specifically tailored towards education programs for under-privileged people. ASA Asia Education Topics: Behavior Change, Communication, Community Development, Cultural/ Social Acceptance, Disaster Preparedness (DP) / Disaster Risk & Reduction (DRR), English Language & Soft Skills, Health, HIV AIDS Awareness, Nutrition, Peace Building (PB), Physical/ Mental Disabilities and Trauma Relief From ASA Asia programs, talented young players have been offered free scholarships to join elite ASA Asia squads, hence providing them with the opportunity to progress from grass roots clinics to KONI, PSSI Indonesian and even English Premier League (EPL) club level.

Job Description

Duties:

1. Reports directly to ASA Technical Director
2. Collaborating with ASA Project Manager
3. Compiles program requirements including needs assessments
4. Designs, implements, monitors and evaluates ASA education through sports devlopment
training programs
5. Assembles and submits weekly training plans, journals and field reports
6. Submits monthly monitoring & evaluation program reports
7. Manages Indonesian assistant trainers for all ASA programs
8. Liaises with NGO partners, education officials, school teachers and community leaders
with regards to special events/tournaments.

Qualifications:

1. Male/ Female
2. Aged 18 – 40 years
3. Fit and healthy
4. Able to be completely self-fund for the entire period of contract including visa costs
5. Prior experience of working as a volunteer within an NGO / similar professional environment
6. Experience of living/ studying/ volunteering in a developing country if possible
7. Computer Skills (MS Office)
8. Able to bring/ use own computer
9. Teaching qualification/ sports coaching license preferred but not essential
